Local Government Review Community Feedback Questionnaire

The Government is currently reviewing how local councils are organised across the country.

As part of this process, the Parish Council is gathering residents’ views so it can represent its community in a full, single response to West Berkshire Council, Reading Borough Council and, ultimately, the Secretary of State — who will make the final decision.

What’s being proposed?

• “Ridgeway” Council – proposed by West Berkshire Council, merge West Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse into one larger authority.

• “Greater Reading” – proposed by Reading Borough Council, move Calcot, Holybrook, Pangbourne, Purley on Thames, Theale, Tidmarsh and Tilehurst into a Greater Reading area.
