Beansheaf Community Centre

The Beansheaf Community Centre is situated in Linear Park, Charrington Road, Calcot, Reading, Berkshire, RG31 7AW and is close to junction 12 of the M4.  The Centre has facilities for disabled users, excellent parking and three rooms available for hire (described below).  The Centre is licensed for a variety of activities including music and dance.

Facilities

Newly refurbished modern kitchen, toilets, baby changing facilities and wheelchair access.  All rooms are equipped with chairs and trestle style tables (children's sized tables also available upon request).  There is a public telephone and smoke and fire alarms.  We also have a projector and screen available for hire. 

 

The kitchen has the following equipment: an instant hot water urn, two fridges, microwave, warming cupboard, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery and glasses.  Both The Linear Hall and The Beansheaf Room have a serving hatch to the kitchen.  The kitchen, like the toilets and lobby, is a shared space.  

HALL INFORMATION

Linear_Hall

Linear Hall (16.5m x 9m)

The Linear Hall is suitable for meetings, conferences, fund-raising events, parties (with room for a bouncy castle), wedding receptions and exercise and dance classes. Staging is available on request but does incur an additional fee for erecting.

The Linear Hall overlooks the beautiful Linear Park. 

Beansheaf_Room

Beansheaf Room (7.9m x 7.6m)

The Beansheaf Room is suitable for meetings, small parties, dance classes, training events, baby showers and the such like.  

This room has LED lighting which can be dimmed to preference. 

The Keep

The Keep (9.2m x 3.5m)

The Keep (which has no disabled access) is a carpeted room on the first floor. The room is suitable for small meetings and educational classes. There is a wall mounted whiteboard in the room. 

RATES

 

Standard Rates per hour:

Please note there is no minimum hire period but you should include your set up/tidy away time in your booking time slot.

 

**SPECIAL OFFERS**

Linear Hall: If you hire the Linear Hall at the weekend, for four hours you will get a fifth hour for only £4!  Meaning you get 5-hours for just £100

Beansheaf Room: If you hire the Beansheaf Room at the weekend, for four hours you will get the fifth hour for only £6! Meaning you get 5- hours for just £70.00 

New regular hirers may be eligible for a start-up discount.  Please contact the Parish Office for more information.

Concessionary rates are available to certain groups. A refundable deposit is applicable. Please contact the Parish Office for more information.

Please note that, due to Covid-19, there are, currently, additional Terms and Conditions of hire and the Council is unable to accept some types of booking or bookings may be subject to reduced numbers of capacity.  Please contact the Parish Office to discuss your booking requirements.  We will be delighted to help.
