Here are the next major project milestones:

10 to 13 January - Westbound slip road closures at junction 7

The new temporary bridge at Huntercombe Spur Junction 7 will be completed and tying in the existing road. The westbound entry and exit slips will be closed from the evening of Friday 10 January until the morning of Monday 13 January.

17 to 20 January 2020 - full weekend closure between junctions 6 and 8/9

The M4 will be closed in both directions between junctions 6 and 8/9 to demolish the old Huntercombe Spur bridge from the evening of Friday 17 January to the morning of Monday 20 January 2020.

During this weekend traffic will be diverted to the A308M, A308, A332 and A355.  Strategic diversions will be placed on the wider motorway network to direct traffic away from this part of the M4, using the M25, M3 and M40.

14 to 17 February 2020 - full weekend closure

The Old Slade Lane bridge near junction 4b will be demolished over the weekend of 14 to 17 February 2020.

Closure dates and times can change, so check the planned roadworks feed for further details. The closure information should be available around 2 weeks before the closures are due to start.
