Holybrook Parish Council is permitted fifteen Councillors who stand for election every four years.  There are currently 10 Parish Councillors meaning that Holybrook Parish Council currently has five vacancies.

Cllr Mary Bedwell has lived in Beansheaf for 35 years. 

Mary has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2000 and is currently Chairman of the Council and is a member of all other Committees. 

Current voluntary work includes: President of West Berkshire Volunteer Centre, Trustee for Reading Arms House Charity and Trustee for Dr Ellerton's Charity.  I am keen to ensure that Holybrook Parish remains a pleasant and safe place to live and to encourage residents to take pride in the area.

Councillor Claire Tull has lived in the Calcot area for 32 years. 

Claire has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2003 and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the Planning, Finance and Community and Environment Committees.

I very much enjoy being a member of Holybrook Parish Council. My main areas of interest are planning and the environment. In particular how we can mitigate the loss of our natural environment as a result of development and urbanisation.

Charlie has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2008 and is currently Vice Chair of the Community & Environment Committee and a member of the Planning Committee.

Cllr Richard Somner has lived in the Tilehurst and Calcot area for over 50 years. 

Richard has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2009 and is currently Chairman of the Festival Committee; he has held the Chairman of the committee roles for Finance and for Buildings Planning until he was elected as a District Councillor in 2015.

I have worked for the NHS for 11 years and am Lead Contracts Manager for The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading. I was also a school Governor at Kennet Valley Primary School for 14 years, finishing my term as Chairman. I am also a District Councillor for Tilehurst South & Holybrook.

Andrew Lenaghan has lived in Calcot, both in Beansheaf and Fords Farm, for 27 years.  He has been a councillor for 5 years as he believes that residents should be an active part of their community; both contributing to and benefitting from this involvement.

Councillor Sarju Mistry has lived in the Reading area since 2012, having previously lived in Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff.

Sarju has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2016 and is currently a member of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Staffing Committee.

I have been in Programme/Project Management for 10+ years managing Transformation across government and Financial Services.  I am an advocate of giving back to society and empowering people to be the best they can be.  Being on the Parish Council enables me to bring my skills to the energising and development of the local community.  I am also a co-founder of Comfort U Bags (CuBs), a non-profit organisation providing bags with essential items for looked after children in the South-West.

Councillor Brian Baker has been a Holybrook Parish Councillor since 2018 and is currently a member of the Festival and Planning Committees.

Having witnessed development of Fords Farm and Beansheaf Farm estates on the green fields that extended from Underwood Road to Dorking Way, he wanted to be a Parish Councillor to help protect and enhance the environment and community facilities within the Parish.

Clive Littlewood has lived in the Calcot area for over 35 years.

Live has been a Holybrook Parish Councillors since 2010 and is currently Chairman of the Neighbourhood Active Group.  He is also a member of the Parish Finance Committee as well as Local Liaison Committee representative for AWE Aldermaston.

After retiring, I wanted to be more involved with the local community and, therefore, became a member of the Parish Council.  I am also a volunteer warden for Linear Park.
